Replace a video - Keep the link

Streamable just launched an update to be able to replace a video in your dashboard without changing the sharing link or embed code. This is perfect if you've already embedded or shared a video and want to put up a new version without changing anything else.

How to replace a video

To replace a video, follow these steps:

1. On the Dashboard page, click the More button on the video you want to change.
2. In the menu, select Replace video.
3. In the Replace video modal, drag and drop a file or click Upload a video to select the replacement file and upload a new video.

If you've shared the video link or embedded the video in your site - you don't need to do anything else, the video will update for anyone trying to view it.

Please note that once you replace a video, it's possible to revert to the original upload from the edit video feature, but you will lose any interim edits if you go back to the original video.
